"It also allows me to relate a bit more on a personal level, and that connection and direct interaction with people is why I got into family law," she said.

Ms. Caruso said she enjoys being able to work in an area of law that directly affects people's lives. Her impact is evident in her work, including one particular case where she was able to reunite a father with his children after the mother moved the children out of state against his will.

Ms. Caruso graduated cum laude from Christopher Newport University where she majored in Philosophy with a concentration in Critical Thinking and minored in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University where she graduated magna cum laude and was ranked seventh in her class.

Ms. Caruso teaches Project Safeguard Pro Se clinics, where she discusses the process of divorce, custody, and helps fill out paperwork.
