As he progressed through his law school education, Daniel Exner realized his zeal for the profession came from the satisfaction of helping actual individuals with their legal problems.

"Lawyers are not just advocates and representatives, but also guides who lead clients through the legal labyrinth to their desired destination," he said.

An action affecting the family can be a harrowing experience so Mr. Exner strives to help clients reach the end in the easiest way possible.

"I do not like to reset until I’m certain I have the right answer or the most convincing argument," Mr. Exner said. "The process can be tough, and so can I."

Mr. Exner received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Juris Doctor from Marquette Law School.

Before joining Cordell & Cordell, Mr. Exner clerked at Hodan, Doster & Ganzer/Schuman & Pieper, a firm that focused primarily on business law, family law, criminal law, estate planning, personal injury and bankruptcy.

While in law school, Mr. Exner received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy.

Volunteer Work

Mr. Exner performed pro bono work for the last three years. In 2011, he was inducted into Marquette University’s Pro Bono Society after he accrued more than 50 hours in pro bono service to the Milwaukee community.
