Chad Jerome has worked in the legal field for more than 17 years. The knowledge he has obtained during those years allows him to better serve the needs of his clients.

Mr. Jerome said it was natural for him to practice since family is the most important thing in a person's life.

"I have seen over the years through professional and personal experience the challenges and emotional issues that divorce and separation bring to people, particularly when there are children involved," he said. "I work towards making the whole experience as less traumatic for everyone as possible."

Mr. Jerome is licensed in the state of New York, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals – Second Circuit.

Education

Mr. Jerome received his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the Sage College of Albany, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He received his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a concentration in Estate Planning.

Experience

Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Mr. Jerome practiced Family and Matrimonial Law as well as Personal Injury Litigation and trial work. He is a former partner at a Family, Matrimonial and Personal Injury law firm.

Prior to his work as an attorney, Mr. Jerome was a paralegal for 12 years, nine of which he worked as a Trial Assistant participating in and attending trials for all attorneys.

Mr. Jerome currently serves on the Law Guardian panel for Saratoga County Family Court, where he is appointed by the court to represent children in custody, PINS, and Juvenile Delinquency proceedings.

Currently, Mr. Jerome is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Saratoga County Bar Association.

Volunteer Work

Mr. Jerome has regularly participated in multiple pro se divorce clinics to assist low income people with completing the necessary divorce papers to obtain an uncontested divorce. He has also participated in the Senior Citizens Law Day through Albany Law School on several occasions.
