Frank J. Murphy III is a Senior Partner of Cordell & Cordell, practicing exclusively in the area of domestic relations.

Mr. Murphy is known in the community for handling very complex financial domestic relations cases involving closely held corporations and trusts. He has been on the forefront of battling heated child custody cases involving allegations of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

Many of his cases have involved dealing with children with special needs, relocation issues and parental alienation. Mr. Murphy has fought cases at the Missouri Court of Appeals and Missouri Supreme Court.

He received his Juris Doctor in 1991 from Saint Louis University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University in 1988.

He is a member of the American Bar Association's Trial Advocacy training for domestic practitioners and was recently elected Vice President of Lawyers for Kids.

Other Qualifications

In addition to his memberships, he is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education programs on a variety of topics in the field of domestic relations. In 2010, Mr. Murphy presented the topic, "What is a Guardian Ad Litem and How Should I Proceed With One?" at the Cordell & Cordell CLE Seminar.
